Summary
This is a classroom-based 1/2-day SCS certified course.
Employers who require personnel to wear respiratory protective equipment must ensure that the wearers are properly trained and qualified with the background knowledge and technical skills to wear and utilize respiratory protective equipment. Their workers’ safety depends on it!
Course Content
This course provides the theory and demonstrates the practical skills that these technicians will require to wear respiratory protective equipment.
Furthermore, it includes video and live demonstrations of actual fit tests and covers the following information:
• the importance of respiratory protection,
• selecting a respirator & respirator limitations,
• the medical evaluation,
• the fit test,
• inspecting the respirator,
• how to conduct a proper seal check, and
• cleaning & storage
