Safe Behavior Management training is intended for supervisors and managers directly monitoring work and work behaviors in their organization, ensuring the best possible work practices are applied towards safety and loss control. Our training program focuses on the development of the manager or supervisor in ensuring that worker behaviors on a jobsite reflect an organizational commitment to safety and loss control. This one-day course is part of the larger Det Norske Veritas Practical Leadership Skills program, and can be taken as a stand-alone course or as part of the larger curriculum.
Participants will learn:
- The reasons for addressing at risk behaviors: Identifying, addressing at-risk behaviors, and determining the best course of action in correcting them.
- A behavioral intervention model for influencing behaviors: How to intervene in at-risk behaviors in a fashion that addresses the root cause of behavior.
- A five step process for applying safe behavior management in the workplace.
Upon successful completion of the Safe Behavior Management course, students will receive a certificate of participation.
