This one-day classroom course is designed for those individuals who are planning, supervising or otherwise participating in trenching and/or excavating operations.

Participants will learn:

• Types of Ground Disturbances
• “Call Before you Dig” Guidelines for Safe Excavations
• Legislation; Due Diligence and how it affects you
• Soil Terminology/Classifications
• Hazard Assessment and Control Techniques
• Overhead Power lines and Safe Limits Of Approach
• Confined Space Entry and Codes of Practice
• Shoring systems

Upon successful completion of this course students will receive an IRP 17 Supervisors Certificate equal to Level 2.
